Hunbatz Men is a Mayan Elder who lives in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. He is a Shaman, Daykeeper and teacher of traditional Mayan wisdom passed down to him through generations of Mayan Elders. He has committed his life to transmitting these sacred teachings to others who have an interest in the vision and practices of ancient indigenous cultures. He believes that modern peoples can benefit from understanding the world view that the teachings of the Mayas express. This path of sacred sacred wisdom teachings is offered through Maya Mysteries Schools, and draws students back into the higher consciousness of the universe, back into Cosmic Consciousness, which they have forgotten.

Maestro Hunbatz Men always greets new and returning students the same way, saying I am happy to see you again. He calls them Solar Brothers and Sisters, recognizing that they were Mayans in past lives and are returning to reclaim their lost wisdom, their cosmic knowledge teachings from the past. He recognizes that we are all part of the greater whole and are essentially one. An ancient Mayan salutation expresses this perfectly: In Lakech, Ah Laken. I am you and you are me; or I am another yourself. The ultimate purpose of his work is to restore our planet to harmony with natural and cosmologic cycles. He believes that the way to help Mother Earth and her children return to a state of harmony is to raise human consciousness once again closer to the Cosmic Consciousness of advanced ancient peoples. In 2008 Hunbatz Men founded and is Director of the Cosmic Initiatic University of Yok hah Maya in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. This program offers study in depth of the mystic knowledge and hidden practices of Maya yoga, including philosophy and practices. Education in yok hah (yoga) provides a foundation in cosmic philosophy and practice of techniques based in ancient Maya knowledge and traditions, guiding us to live in harmony with the cycles of our Mother Earth, Father Sun, and the Cosmos.

Hunbatz Men is leading a pilgrimage across country from New York to Los Angeles doing ceremony at sacred spots along the way to lead people to the 11-11-11 Gateway Event in Los Angeles. For more information, go to the website: www.cosmicmysteries.com/journey

The Mayan Significance of 11-11-11
The First Day of our Event

The Tzolkin Calendar (Count of Days)

Day 11.11.11 = Galactic Tone 1 (Balam *IX) JAGUAR - Strong, Powerful, Nocturnal Shaman. Ruling spirit of jungles and mountains, Guardian of earthly magic.

To the Maya, the spotted skin of the Jaguar is symbolized the stars of the Milky Way Galaxy. The birthplace of First Father in the mouth of Jaguar was known to the Quiche Maya as Xibalba Be (shi bal ba bay) the Road to the Underworld. The daily journey of the Sun from light to darkness represents consciousness and its transformation.

The Nocturnal Sun in the guise of the Jaguar travels through the underworld revealing our subconscious fears and allowing them to be transformed.

Jaguar energy signifies feminine and feline energy and relates to the earthly primal spiritual forces within all living creatures. The Maya referred to this energy as Itz or dew from heaven which connects cosmic divinity with the spark of our own earthly divinity. Jaguar energy tunes our inner instincts with the spiritual power of Itz. Ix is a day of high magic and develops higher powers.

Ix expands the mind the most, providing the strength to reach the highest level of consciousness. This strength, combined with mental acuity, benefits the highest levels of mysticism. Jaguar energy offers a good day for inner strength and for magic, along with intuitive wisdom for personal transformation to take place.

IX JAGUAR BALAM GLYPH
A Good Day for Unity and to Commune and Give Thanks to Mother Nature or what is known as the Heart of the Earth.
